{"id":15402,"date":"2020-07-30T10:35:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-30T14:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/?p=15402"},"modified":"2020-07-30T10:43:43","modified_gmt":"2020-07-30T14:43:43","slug":"mayor-spicer-appoints-2-women-to-framingham-agricultural-advisory-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/index.php\/2020\/07\/30\/mayor-spicer-appoints-2-women-to-framingham-agricultural-advisory-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayor Spicer Appoints 2 Women To Framingham Agricultural Advisory Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;80100&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FRAMINGHAM &#8211; Mayor Yvonne Spicer today, July 30, nominated two women to the seven-member Framingham Agricultural Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Committee was established to serve as the primary advocate for farming and agriculture in Framingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominated were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Natasha Rausch, a District 4 resident.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Linda Kirchman, a District 6 resident<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Rausch is a &#8220;hobby farmer\/homesteader and local educator interested in advocating and promoting agricultural practices,&#8221; wrote the Mayor in her letter to the City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kirchman &#8220;brings a wealth of knowledge in business management and volunteer experience. In addition to serving as a US Naval Reserve Officer for ten years, she served on Literacy organizations tutoring English, Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity,<br>McAuliffe Regional Charter Middle School afterschool as a program instructor, and Zurich International High School as a library aide,&#8217; wrote the Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[broadstreet zone=&#8221;53820&#8243;]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both were nominated for a term through June 30, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City Council has 30 days to approve or reject the appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mayor noted in her letter to the Council that Peter Whiting will continue to serve until reappointed or replaced.
