These ratings extend the U.S. News mission of providing consumers with patient decision support beyond the Best Hospitals rankings, which are geared toward complex specialty care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/source.healthy.business.female.doctor.house_.ad_.2019-1024x487-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/source.healthy.business.female.doctor.house_.ad_.2019-1024x487-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/source.healthy.business.female.doctor.house_.ad_.2019-1024x487-1-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/framinghamsource.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/source.healthy.business.female.doctor.house_.ad_.2019-1024x487-1-768x365.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>MetroWest Medical Center earned \u201cHigh Performing\u201d ratings for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Heart Failure, in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. \u201cHigh Performing\u201d is the highest rating U.S. News awards for these types of care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe team of physicians and healthcare professionals at MetroWest Medical Center works tirelessly to care for our patients,\u201d says MetroWest Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Andrew D. Fewer than a third of all hospitals received any high-performing rating, and only 37 earned this rating in all 10 Procedures &amp; Conditions.
