WAYLAND, MA \u2013 March 2, 2026 \u2013 Proving that everyone deals with grief in their own unique way, The Parmenter Foundation<\/a> is teaming with a New England native and nationally recognized writer, actress, and comedian for a night of laughs about loss.<\/p>\n

The nonprofit, which provides compassionate guidance and comprehensive resources to individuals and families as they navigate end-of-life care and move through loss and bereavement, recently opened ticket sales and sponsorships for this year\u2019s annual fundraising event \u2013 Laughter, Love, and Loss: An Evening with Actress\/Comedian, Alyssa Limperis<\/a> \u2013 taking place on April 2, 2026, at 7PM at Regis College Theater in Weston, Mass.<\/p>\n

With the goal of normalizing grief and end-of-life preparation, The Parmenter Foundation has organized these celebrity-headlined events for the past five years as a way to bring the community together with a shared experience that combines levity with the seriousness of the topic.<\/p>\n

Limperis, star of the recent acclaimed special NO BAD DAYS on Peacock, numerous indie films and podcasts, and winner of Best Comedy Short for her work in Your Own Flavor, will kick off the event with a standup set that takes the audience on the journey of loving and losing a parent, and then slowly but surely coming out the other side. Described by DECIDER as having the spirit and charisma of the late Gilda Radner, Limperis demonstrates her comedic brilliance in her viral \u201cMom\u201d videos for her extensive following, created following her father\u2019s cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

“My late dad\u2019s advice to me and my family was always, ‘If the sun\u2019s out and you have another day on this Earth, what\u2019s there to be worried about?’ I try to remember that,” said Limperis. “Everyone deals with grief differently, but Parmenter’s event on April 2 gives us this important opportunity to be together, enjoy some laughs, and talk it out.”<\/p>\n

Before an audience Q&A, Limperis will sit down for a moderated discussion with critically acclaimed psychotherapist, best-selling author, and national media commentator Niro Feliciano, who can be seen often on the TODAY show and NBC News Now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need a cultural shift that helps us meet the challenges of grief and loss with understanding,\u201d said Executive Director Angela Crocker. \u201cThis year\u2019s Laughter, Love, and Loss event with Alyssa and Niro will provide such an inclusive space for critical conversations that build meaningful, compassionate communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to these community events, The Parmenter Foundation, supported by its 75-year history in MetroWest, develops resources, provides community education, creates programming to fill gaps in services, and awards grant funding to nonprofit organizations that deliver high-quality programs within its focus areas of compassionate end-of-life care and grief support. Earlier this year, the nonprofit announced more than $400,000 in 2026 grant awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n
