FRAMINGHAM – An “anti-racism peaceful protest” is scheduled for Sunday, June 7 from 4 to 5 p.m. in front of the Memorial Building, said an organizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest is to “support justice for George Floyd, justice for all, and to protest racism, brutality, and violence.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual who attend are encouraged to wear masks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Monday, while handcuffed Floyd, a black man, died in police custody in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A white police officer Derek Chauvin pushed his knee into Floyd\u2019s neck, as he cried that he could not breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[broadstreet zone=”70106″]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, Chauvin and three other police officers were fired, after a bystander\u2019s video showed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FBI is now investigating the death, and on Friday arrested Chauvin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, June 3, it was announced the other three former Minneapolis police officers on the scene when Floyd died were being charged with aiding and abetting a murder, and the murder case against former police officer Chauvin was upgraded to second degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a peaceful protest today organized by a Keefe Tech student in Framingham.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week,a 2016 Framingham High graduate organized a couple of protests in the city.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
