FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys lacrosse team won its home opener, yesterday, April 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing on the new Fuller turf field, the Flyers defeated the Tigers of Newton North 18-9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is always nice to star the season with a win, but even better when your team is playing unselfish team lacrosse,” said Head Coach AJ Mulvey. “When we share the ball, good things happen on offense.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior captain Bill Neiberger scored 7 goals and had 1 assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davin Nichols scored 3 goals and had two assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain Justin Nichols scored 3 goals and had two assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Treirweiler had two goals and an assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owen Warren registered a goal and two assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brendan Treacy and Brendan Peck each had a goal in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our defense was sold holding the Tigers to 4 goals in the 4th,” said Coach Mulvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cam Soave had 9 saves and Will Corton had 6 saves, said the head coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Framingham scored three goals in the first quarter, four goals in the second quarter, five goals in the third quarter, and five goals in the final quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captains this year for the Flyers are Neiberger, Justin Nicols, Soave, Treacy, and John Yerardi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
