SOURCE’s Digital News Update Policy

Share, email, print, bookmark SOURCE reports.

SOURCE is a digital news outlet.

Sometimes the individual pieces of journalism evolve as the news outlet gets new facts verified, especially on breaking news reports.

If a headline changes, you will see the word UPDATE or UPDATED.

If the news outlet makes a significant change to a report, an editor’s note or an update note is posted in the report. The headline may also have the word UPDATE or UPDATED added to it.

If the news outlet is correcting a typo like hear to here or teh to the, the news outlet chooses not to note the change to readers, especially if the change is made the same day the report is published. The news outlet also does not note when it updates coding errors.

SOURCE also has a correction and clarification to inform readers whenever we correct a mistake in reporting. The news outlet will correct all errors in fact.
