MetroWest Medical Center marked an important milestone this week, completing its 100th outpatient MRI since launching the service in February. The achievement reflects the hospital’s ongoing efforts to expand access to advanced diagnostic imaging for local residents.
The outpatient MRI program was created to make it easier for patients to receive needed scans without long wait times or the need to travel to larger facilities. By building awareness among community physicians and creating a reliable, responsive imaging pathway, the team is helping patients access diagnostics more quickly and conveniently.
MetroWest now offers same‑day appointments and a 24‑hour turnaround on imaging reports, allowing providers to make timely decisions and helping patients avoid unnecessary delays in their care.
“Reaching our 100th outpatient MRI is a meaningful sign of the progress we’re making for our community,” said Greg McFarland, MetroWest Medical Center CEO. “We’re committed to ensuring that high‑quality diagnostic services are accessible, convenient, and close to home.”
