Shrewsbury, MA — On March 29, 2026, SMILE Mass hosted a vibrant and inclusive Family Fun Day & Bowling Fundraiser at Bowlero in Shrewsbury, bringing together nearly 100 participants for an afternoon centered on connection, laughter, and community.

The event welcomed individuals of all abilities, including Club SMILE Mass clients, their families, and new friends from the broader disability community. Designed as a non-competitive, social experience, the afternoon focused on what SMILE Mass does best—creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage, build relationships, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Participants enjoyed bowling, pizza, music, and a lively atmosphere that highlighted the organization’s mission in action—supporting the whole family through shared experiences.

“This event was a perfect reflection of what SMILE Mass is all about,” said Mike Diggins, Executive Director of Club SMILE Mass. “We were able to bring together our current clients alongside new friends from the community—individuals with disabilities and their families—creating a space where everyone felt welcomed, included, and connected. The energy in the room said it all.”

The success of the event reinforces the growing demand for inclusive, community-based programming across MetroWest. As SMILE Mass continues to expand its reach, events like this serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of accessible social opportunities for individuals with disabilities—especially those aging out of traditional school-based programs.
