Phyllis Rose (Robinson) Nicoli of Ashland, MA age 88 passed away at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham on March 24, 2026 after an extended period of declining health.  Phyllis was the beloved wife of Richard Nicoli, devoted mother of Richele (Shelly) Paula Banks and Laura Jean (Kevin) McGann of Framingham, MA; Michael (Kim) Nicoli of Clinton, MA; Christina (Tina) Marie Nicoli of Ashland, MA and Sharon Rose Defilippo of Smithfield, RI.

Born on March 11, 1938, in Ayer, MA, to Wanda Bowser, Canada, and Edwin Robinson of Boxborough, MA.  Phyllis was raised in Boxborough and attended Acton High School and Fisher College in Boston, MA.

Prior to her retirement, Phyllis worked as an administrative assistant at Metrowest Medical Center.  Prior to that she worked as a secretary at St. Jeremiah’s Parish for sixteen years.  During that time, she served as a catechist, eucharistic minister, and enjoyed her travels to the Holy Land. She was a long-time member of the Framingham Heart Study.

Phyllis and Richard joyfully welcomed ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Phyllis is survived by her husband Richard and brothers Joseph Mackiewicz and Edwin Robinson.  She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents and sister Rosemary Ham.

Phyllis was known for her love of family and home.  She created a beautiful loving home that was her pride and joy.  When she wasn’t decorating or gardening, she loved to square dance, shop, cook, listen to music, and read.

She led a spiritual life treating everyone with thoughtful kindness and remained unwaveringly loyal to her faith.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Phyllis’ life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Monday, March 30th from 4-7PM.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 31st, at 10:30am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 54 Esty Street, Ashland, MA.  Interment will take place at a later date.
