The Framingham Business Association (FBA) is pleased to announce that Kate Fox, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT), will be the featured speaker at the association’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
As the Massachusetts and the country are in the midst of its 250th Anniversary celebrations, Fox will discuss the significant economic impact of the tourism industry and how Framingham businesses can leverage state resources and local landmarks to drive growth. With local gems like the Danforth Museum, Garden in the Woods, and a prominent place on the Boston Marathon route, Framingham is uniquely positioned to benefit from the influx of domestic and international travelers.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kate to Framingham,” said Francis Moura, President of the Framingham Business Association. “Tourism is a multi-billion dollar industry in our state. This meeting is a great opportunity for our local business owners to learn how they can partner with the state and local sites to put Framingham ‘on the map’ for visitors.”
Kate Fox was appointed Executive Director of MOTT by the Healey-Driscoll Administration in 2023. A 25-year veteran of the tourism industry, she previously led Destination Salem for nearly two decades, transforming the city into a year-round destination. Her extensive background includes leadership roles with the Essex National Heritage Area and the North of Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The meeting will provide a forum for business owners to ask questions about tourism and explore actionable ways to capture visitor spending.
