Robert L. “Bob” Totman, a lifelong resident of Framingham,  passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 15, 2026. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late James G. Sr. & Mildred (Shepherd) Totman, and the beloved husband of the late Barbara L. (Cail) Totman.

Bob served his country proudly in the United States Navy after high School. He retired as the Sanitation Superintendent for the Town of Framingham after 40 years. He was also a  loan officer part time at Metrowest Community Federal Credit Union for 36 years and took great pride in his job.

He spent his retirement traveling with his wife and brother-in-law and his wife.  He also enjoyed woodworking in his basement.  He loved being with family and friends and made everyone happy.  He will be remembered by his sense of humor and always lit up a room when he walked in.

Bob is survived by 3 daughters, Mary Brewer of Wayland, Karen White of Greenfield, NH and Bren Maurer of Easthampton, 5 grandchildren, Scott Brewer of Framingham, Robin Parker of Bellingham, Jennifer Interiano of Ashland, Jason White of Greenfield, NH and Shawn White of Carson City, Nevada, and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Road, Wayland on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 am.  He will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove Street, Framingham on April 25, 2026 at 11:00 am.

Donations can be made to the Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mount Wayte Ave., Suite 2, Framingham in Robert’s name.
