MetroWest Medical Center is proud to announce that Amy Lebron BSN, RN is our most recent recipient of the DAISY Award, a prestigious recognition celebrating extraordinary, compassionate nursing care. Amy is an ICU nurse who has worked at Framingham Union Hospital for seven years.
Amy was nominated by a family who tragically lost two loved ones in a fire. They praised her for not only providing exceptional care to their loved one, but also for supporting the entire family with kindness and empathy during an incredibly difficult time. In their nomination, the family wrote: “We will never forget her.”
The DAISY Award honors nurses who demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care, making a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families. Amy’s dedication and empathy truly exemplify the values at the heart of the DAISY Foundation’s mission.
The DAISY Award was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away after battling an autoimmune disease. Moved by the care and compassion shown to Patrick, the Barnes family created the DAISY Foundation to honor nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence alongside heartfelt, compassionate care.
