Sister Donna Curtin, CSJ, Sister James Brian, in her 65th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Devoted daughter of the late Warren Joseph and Marguerite Josephine (McNamara) Curtin and loving sister of the late Charles Edward Curtin. Sister Donna is survived by her loving brothers, Warren Joseph and his wife, Rose, James Brian, and his wife Donna, her many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation, especially Sister Barbara Hallisey and Sister Mary Theresa O’Reilly. Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. James School, Medford; Sacred Heart School, W. Lynn; St. Pius School, Lynn; Sacred Hearts School, Bradford; Walnut Park Montessori School, Newton; North Cambridge Catholic High School, Cambridge; Clement School, Somerville; Sacred Heart School, Roslindale; and Chapter 1 teacher at St. Angela Parish, Mattapan. Sister Donna also served as Principal at St. Joseph School, Wakefield; and Vice Principal at St. Mary School, Melrose.
Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick, MA.
