Michael T. Ahearn, 73, a lifelog resident of Framingham, died Friday, January 16, 2026 after a period of declining health. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late John & Ann (McGrath) Ahearn.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of Framingham North High School, and went on to work for New England Telephone for 30 years. Not one to sit still in his retirement he worked for Framingham Salvage and most recently was driving for JFK of Natick something he enjoyed doing and was proud to have his CDL license.
An outdoorsman at heart, Mike enjoyed hunting, and for many years the family vacation home in Vermont. He belonged to many gun clubs, shot skeet, and earned many trophies shooting handguns. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Boston sports fan particularly the Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox. Mike loved spending time with his brother John, playing in a pool league and watching sports.
Mike is survived by his son, Ryan Ahearn of Framingham, his sister, Linda Phillips of Hopkinton and her daughter Jennifer of Framingham, his brother, Steven Ahearn of Framingham and his daughter Nicole of FL, his sister, Diane Bosworth of Framingham and her two sons, Jason Bosworth of Framingham and Jerry Bosworth of Taunton, his brother John Ahearn, Jr. of Framingham, and his adored great nieces and nephews, Josie, Ryder, Jordan, Tyler, Logan, Cameron, and June.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Mike’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday, January 30th from 4-7PM. Interment will be private.
