Jorge A. Lage, 65, a resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, died Saturday, January 17, 2026. Born and raised in Framingham Massachusetts, he was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Ester (Ruivo) Lage.
Jorge is survived by his partner of many years, Nancy Purcell, his children Derek O’Malley (wife Amber) of Virginia , Kevin O’Malley (wife Katie) of Maine, and Shannon O’Malley of California, along with his grandchildren Zackery, Lilah, Mason, and Thomas and also by his brothers Tony Lage (wife Laura) of Ashland and Raul Lage (wife Stephanie) of New Hampshire.
Jorge graduated from Framingham South High and kept many lifelong friends from high school, particularly from the school band. An avid drummer, Jorge could often be heard making music wherever he was and if he wasn’t drumming along, he was always listening, often at ridiculous volumes, to his favorite bands such as Rush, Yes, and ELP.
Jorge began his career as a lineman at GM Motors and then for the duration of his career, ran his own carpentry business, JA Lage Building & Remodeling. He was a visionary man of many projects and plans which he’d happily share with those who would listen. Jorge was an honorable, one of a kind person who will be greatly missed and remembered by his dear friends and family.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Jorge’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Saturday morning, January 24th from 9-10:30AM. His Funeral Mass will follow in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
