Yolanda (Caligiuri) Diasio of Virginia and formerly of Framingham, MA, died peacefully Saturday January 3, 2026, with family holding her hand, after a short period of declining health. Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late James & Elisa Caligiuri and the beloved wife of the late Frank Diasio.

Yolanda was raised and educated in Chicago where she was a graduate of Lakeview High School and became a lifelong Cubs fan. Much of her work life was spent as a bookkeeper for a large IT company where her organizational talents and love of numbers were excellent assets.

Yolanda had a very kind and forgiving nature, and that nature was rewarded with a long life. She could always see the bright side of things. Yolanda above all else loved her family, her Catholic faith, her Italian heritage, and her country.  Ahead of her time, she was passionate about being active at all times. She instinctively knew the importance of staying in shape and maintaining loving relationships.  However, just because she was doing Jack LaLane before anyone ever thought of counting steps, that doesn’t mean that she didn’t enjoy the occasional treat.  Her very favorite right up until her last days were milkshakes – mostly brought to her by her grandson in law Brian.  Of course, Yolanda also loved animals.  Her favorite was Rocky who never left her bedside the one time she was sick during his twelve years of life. She loved her job, but gave that up in order to take care of her granddaughter – one of the thousands of selfless things she did for family.

A true Italian matriarch, she handed down her fabulous recipes, passing along her terrific and seemingly effortless cooking ability to her granddaughter Lauren and her perfect stitching ability to her granddaughter Kristen. A modern woman at heart, she also taught her granddaughters how to a headstand using the wall in the den, brought them to the DMV to get their drivers licenses, and took them to the casino when they turned 21.

Yolanda is survived by her children, Elisa Sadulsky & her husband Glenn, and Frank Diasio & his wife Christine, her granddaughters, Kristen van de Graaff & her husband Brian, and Lauren Sadulsky, and her great grandchildren, Anthony and Alexis van de Graaff.

Besides her husband Frank, Yolanda was predeceased by her sister, Sara Sinopoli, and her brothers, Julius and Victor Caligiuri.

Yolanda will be greatly missed for the rest of her family’s days.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Yolanda’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in St. Bridget Church, 830 Worcester Rd. Framingham on Monday morning, January 12th beginning at 10 AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11o’clock. Entombment will take place in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
