Loretta F. Nagle (Brignolia) passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2025, while a resident at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. She was the middle of three daughters born to the late Lawrence and Willa Brignolia on January 17, 1938, in Cambridge.

Loretta graduated from Holy Cross Academy in Brookline and attended secretarial school, later working as a stenographer for the U.S. Navy at the Boston Navy Yard. In later years, after her children were all in school, she worked for the National Head Injury Foundation and the Town of Wayland. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph, and two sons, Lawrence and James. She is survived by daughters Catherine Yarberry (Ken) and Barbara Wiseman (Jeff), and sons Austin (Pat), Joseph, John, and Tom. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Lorna Bahn; Pierce and James Yarberry; Christopher, Catherine, Charlie, and John Wiseman; Austin Jr. (Kaycie) and Andrew Nagle; Jennifer, Victoria, and Conrad Nagle. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters Barbara H. O’Connell of Winchester and Lorna C. Brignolia of Hartwood, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care Loretta received from the entire Guardian Angel staff at St. Pat’s.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Loretta’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Monday morning, January 12th from 9:30-10:30AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 11 o’clock. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loretta’s name to St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central St. Framingham, MA 0171, or a charity of choice.
