Joseph J. Tomasi, 96, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Saturday, December 6, 2025. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Joseph C. & Mary L. (Boland) Tomasi.

Joe was a 1947 graduate of Framingham High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was an accomplished musician and was a trumpeter in the Navy Band. In 1956, he began his career serving his community as a Police Officer of the Town of Framingham. First as a patrolman, and later a sergeant. He retired in 1995 after more than 39 years, he received numerous commendations and awards

Joe was a life member of the Framingham Elks and the Framingham Police Association. He enjoyed golf, and was an avid Red Sox Fan.

Joe is survived by his cousins, Susan Bent & her husband Paul, Michelle Garry & her husband Brian, and Jan LoCicero.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Joe’s life by celebrating his Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, December 16th in St. Stephen Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45PM.
