Joseph J. Tomasi

Joseph J. Tomasi, 96, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Saturday, December 6, 2025. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Joseph C. & Mary L. (Boland) Tomasi.

Joe was a 1947 graduate of Framingham High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was an accomplished musician and was a trumpeter in the Navy Band. In 1956, he began his career serving his community as a Police Officer of the Town of Framingham. First as a patrolman, and later a sergeant. He retired in 1995 after more than 39 years, he received numerous commendations and awards

Joe was a life member of the Framingham Elks and the Framingham Police Association. He enjoyed golf, and was an avid Red Sox Fan.

Joe is survived by his cousins, Susan Bent & her husband Paul, Michelle Garry & her husband Brian, and Jan LoCicero.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Joe’s life by celebrating his Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, December 16^th in St. Stephen Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45PM.
