Janet M. (Kelly) Wainwright, 78, a lifelong resident of Framingham and Sudbury, loving wife to Raymond Wainwright and mother to the late Brenton Wainwright passed away on December 5th, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Janet was born on December 3, 1947 to Patrick and Elizabeth Kelly; raised in Framingham with her brother Pat Kelly, and her sisters Helen Trottier and Peggy Yuse. Janet was a dedicated mother alongside her husband Ray who devoted their lives to raising and caring for their incredible beloved son, Brenton. Janet was the matriarch of her entire family, a mother to not only Brenton but to all of her nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Janet loved to travel, taking annual trips to Disney World, visiting family in Buffalo, New York as well as York Beach, Maine where she enjoyed walking for miles along the ocean. In recent years, Janet and Ray began spending time in San Diego and taking international trips with loved ones. Janet was and always will be the center of her family. The space that Janet leaves behind can never be replaced, but her memories will survive through the feeling of love and comfort she provided for everyone around her.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Janet’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Thursday, December 11th from 4-7PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham at 11 o’clock. Interment will be private.
