James J. Sears, 69, of Framingham

James J. Sears, 69, of Framingham, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Pauline (Didick) and Robert Sears.

James loved singing, dancing, and arts and crafts. He also enjoyed good food and time with family and friends. His life was enriched by the caring community that surrounded him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends of the JRI Group Home in Framingham and the JRI Day Program in Natick.

James is survived by two siblings, Robert Sears and his wife, Ann, of Falmouth, and Patricia Sears and her husband, Mark, of Holliston. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Charles Sears and his wife, Laura, of Holden, and their son, Andrew; Catherine Sears Harmon and her husband, James, of Kingston, NY, and their daughter, June; and Ryan Michaels and his partner, Chelsea, of Warwick, RI.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
