FRAMINGHAM – The Danforth Art Museum and School at Framingham State University is proud to announce its 50th anniversary celebration, marking five decades of inspiring creativity, fostering education, and enriching the cultural life of the MetroWest community. The milestone will be commemorated with a celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Village Hall in Framingham.

The evening will feature a VIP pre-reception, silent auction, live music, and culinary delights, bringing together artists, patrons, alumni, and community members to celebrate the museum’s rich history and bright future. Proceeds from the event will support the Danforth’s exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach initiatives.

Founded in 1975, the Danforth has served as a hub for artistic expression and learning, offering gallery exhibitions, art classes, and programs that engage visitors of all ages. Over the past half-century, it has showcased the work of emerging and established artists, provided arts education to thousands of students, and nurtured a vibrant creative community.

“For five decades, the Danforth has been a place where art, education, and community come together in powerful ways,” said Nancy Niemi, President of Framingham State University. “Its exhibitions and programs have inspired generations of artists and art lovers, while enriching the cultural life of MetroWest and beyond. As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we are also looking forward to the Danforth’s next chapter as an essential part of Framingham State’s mission to foster creativity and connection.”
