October is National Physical Therapy Month, a time to recognize the vital role physical therapists and physical therapist assistants play in restoring mobility, relieving pain, and helping patients lead more active, independent lives.
In recognition of the month, MetroWest Medical Center is shining a spotlight on its dedicated physical therapy and rehabilitation center located at Framingham Union Hospital, at 115 Lincoln Street on the ground level. This location serves as the hospital’s primary and only physical therapy site, offering expert care to patients across the region.
Physical Therapy Month is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the center’s specialized expertise, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation, including pre- and post-operative care, sports injury recovery, and hand therapy.
The location also offers targeted rehabilitation for vestibular disorders, including vertigo, dizziness, and balance issues, as well as programs focused on fall prevention, which is a concern among older adults.
