Sister M. Titus Joseph O.Carm. passed into eternal life at St. Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, MA on the night of October 14, 2025, in the 64th year of her religious life.
Lois Ann Ramsbottom was born on February 23, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA. Her parents, William and Louise (nee McCloskey) Ramsbottom, and older brother, Bill, a Christian Brother, pre-deceased her.
Sr. Titus Joseph entered the Congregation on September 7, 1961, professed First Vows on April 1, 1964, and made her Perpetual Profession of Vows on September 8, 1969. Her Missions included Sacred Heart Home, Philadelphia, PA (1964-1965 and 1970-1971), The Pennsylvania, West Palm Beach, FL (1965-1970 and 1971-1994), Carmel Manor, Fort Thomas, KY (1994-1998); and then returned to Lourdes Noreen McKeen Residence, West Palm Beach, FL (1998-2023). Due to her increasing care needs, Sr. Titus was admitted to St. Patrick’s Manor on July 12, 2023.
Sr. Titus spent most of her religious life at West Palm Beach, where she was known and loved by the Sisters, residents, staff, families, volunteers, and all who interacted with her along the way. She served generously in the various ministry roles she was assigned to, including housekeeping, dietary, maintenance, and security. Always generous in responding to the needs of others, she was willing to drive those needing a ride to a doctor’s appointment, the airport, or wherever necessary.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Sr. Titus’ life by gathering for visiting hours in the Holy Family Chapel of St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central St. Framingham on Thursday afternoon, October 23rd from 2-4PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning in the chapel at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Queen of Carmel Cemetery, St. Teresa’s Motherhouse, 600 Woods Rd. Germantown, NY at 2PM.
