The world became a little less bright on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with the passing of Ronald Francis Tupper, born on January 15, 1942, in Brighton, MA. Ron’s unwavering kindness, generosity, quiet wisdom and sense of humor, brought joy to everyone around him.
Ron was the son of the late John & Frances (Smith) Tupper, and the beloved husband of 45 years to Barbara S. (Kelly) Tupper. Raised and educated in Framingham, Ron was a graduate of Framingham High School, Worcester State University, and Framingham State University.
A familiar face around Framingham, Ron tended bar part time over the years at various restaurants, including “The Golden Mile” on route 9, and was the bar manager at Framingham Country Club following his retirement from teaching.
As a dedicated educator of mathematics, Ron inspired countless students and contributed to their success in high school and beyond. He began his teaching career in the early 60’s and taught for 37 years. Ron loved all sports, particularly baseball, basketball, and football parlaying that into his teaching career. He coached JV basketball at Algonquin High School, was the assistant freshman football coach at Wilson Jr. High School in Natick and was Math Department Head at Natick High School. He loved sudoku puzzles and had a passion for Irish music.
Ron enjoyed 20 years of spending the winters in Naples, FL. His day was complete when he sat on his lanai, overlooking the beautiful lake and golf course. Ron was a dedicated and devoted family man. That was always evident in the many years that he and his wife hosted 4th of July and Labor Day cookouts for immediate family, extended family and close friends, who were like family. It was always a memorable event.
Along with his wife Barbara, Ron is survived by his daughter, Sheryl J.
