This September, the MetroWest YMCA is opening its doors wider than ever with a week of free events, cultural celebrations, and special membership offers—all designed to bring neighbors together and celebrate the power of belonging.
From September 12–21, the MetroWest YMCA will join Welcoming America and YMCAs nationwide for Welcoming Week, a movement that unites people across backgrounds, languages, and cultures to build stronger communities.
Locally, the Y will host fun and meaningful events in Framingham and Hopkinton, including:
-
Neighbors at Play Readathon & Family Fun – Children’s stories come alive in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi, and more! Saturday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., Framingham Branch.
-
Framingham Library Bookmobile – Discover new books and resources on the go. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., Framingham Branch.
-
Hopkinton Outdoor Center Open House – Learn about fall offerings: pickleball, climbing, archery, DISC golf, and STEM. Thursday, Sept. 18, 5:30 p.m. – the 7 p.m.
“At the MetroWest YMCA, we believe belonging begins with us,” said Jeanne Sherlock, Chief Operating Officer of the MetroWest YMCA. “When neighbors come together to share, celebrate, and support one another, we create a community where everyone can thrive.”
Special Offers:
