Marie Beatrice (Fougere) Forgue, 91, a longtime resident of Framingham died, Saturday, August 9, 2025 after a period of declining health.  Born in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Madeline (Belliveau) Fougere, and the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Forgue.

Raised and educated in Medford, Marie was a graduate of Medford High School. Marie was guided by her unwavering faith in God,Those who were close to her knew what it mattered most to her well-being of her family,friends and loved ones. She never hesitated in giving someone the shirt off her back, was the first person to be there when a relative or friend was sick and at all times was willing to forgive, never forgetting that the most important thing in life is to love one another. Her laugh was both innocent and infectious, her wisdom, true sage advice, and Marie’s willingness to always put others before herself. The perfect example of how God instructs every one of us to live our Marie never forgot that the most important thing in life was to love one another and she lived that everyday.

With an infectious but innocent laugh, Marie took pride in the little things life had to offer. Whether teaching a grandchild her favorite recipe, playing a hand of rummy while sipping tea,  or taking a family member on a late night crabbing excursion, In assisting a fellow Garden Club Member in creating a flower arrangement. She had a passion for working with flowers, especially for grandchildren’s proms, and weddings.  She volunteered for many years decorating the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, and doing the green sale with the Garden Club. She also volunteered at Birth Right, Morality and Media. A homemaker at heart, she was a talented seamstress, cook, and photographer.

  We will always remember her singing every morning to wake you up to the tune “Good Morning good morning” Marie’s constant smile and ability to live in those moments that those who were close to her will remember most about her.

Marie is survived by her children, Cheryl Bolton, Steve Forgue & his wife Elaine, Kim Bolton & her husband Brian, and Kathy Cordell, 14 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren, and her dear niece, Clair Iames.

Besides her husband Richard, Marie is predeceased by her son in law, Tom Cordell, and her sister June Mitchell.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Saturday morning, August 16th from 9 – 10:30AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. George Church, 74 School St. Framingham at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
