David A Brossi, 92, of Framingham MA
On August 10, 2025 the world lost a true gem and gentleman. David Antonio Brossi was born to William and Jennie Brossi in Wellesley, January 17, 1933. David lived a wonderful, long, successful life, full of love and happiness.
He leaves behind his loving partner of 35 years, Marilyn Clausen and his dear sister, Theresa Ciarcia of Winchester, and his sister-in-law, Pam Nicolazzo of New Hampshire. He also leaves his beloved children, Michael Brossi and his wife Tammy of Marlborough, Linda Murphy and her husband, David of Boylston, and David Brossi and Okja Choi of Westborough. David leaves eight grandchildren; David, Doug, Justine, Nicole, Tom, Ben, Jeremy, and Christian, along with four great grandchildren; Bode, Harvey, Scottie, and Connall. He is also survived by numerous close nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Frances (Pignatelli) Brossi, by his brothers-in-law, John Ciarcia and Richard Nicolazzo, and his brother, long time business partner and very best friend, Joseph Brossi.
After graduating from Wellesley High School, he attended Wentworth, where he later received an honorary bachelor’s degree at his 50th Class Reunion. David served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Berlin Airlift and Korean War. After military service, David and his brother Joe made their mark on the landscape of MetroWest, developing subdivisions, duplexes, office buildings, retail plazas and apartments from Needham to Northborough, while operating their business out of Framingham. His focus, diligence and work ethic allowed him to provide well for his family, while setting an example of resilience and fortitude for the generations to come. When David was not working, he enjoyed making wine in his basement, spending time in Chatham, and later, Mattapoisett, traveling with Marilyn, boating and fishing on his boats, ‘Davide’ and ‘Da Babe’, and gardening. He most enjoyed the simple pleasures in life with his family.
David built a house in Framingham for his family in 1974, and he was able to remain in his home throughout his final days with the kind and amazing attention provided by a wonderful team of caregivers. We are so grateful to each of them for all they did for David’s comfort. David passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember David’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Sunday, August 17th from 4-7PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning in St. Paul Church, 502 Washington St. Wellesley, at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Companionate Care ALS in honor of his mother Jennie Brossi and daughter, Linda Murphy, https://ccals.org/
