This year India’s Independence Day is being celebrated at the Ashland Farmers Market. While the day brings much joy for people of Indian origin living in and around Ashland, the program is designed to enthrall everyone! Facilitated by Ashland is United, and joined by Hashi Khushi of Greater Boston, the performances of varied classical dance forms; music, poetry will all be engaging and interactive. A line up of musical instruments (think sitar) will be available. Try playing any of them or speak to those who are experts. The vendors included in the Farmers Market will include food from various parts of India, hand made art; textiles and clothes. We invite every one to come and savor the day, shop, eat and learn. It will be a fun, festive and family friendly event!
