Mary Anne (Sweenie) Hendricks, formerly of Framingham, died Saturday, June 28, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born in Cambridge, she was the beloved daughter of the late William & Mary (Jenkins) Sweenie.
Mary Anne was raised and educated where she was a graduate of Marion High School in Framingham and attended Mass Bay Community College. She worked for over 20 years as an underwriter for Industrial Risk Insurers (GE).
Mary Anne was kind, lively, witty, and always had a compliment or gift to give to others. She enjoyed collecting and was a voracious reader, especially by Stephen King or James Patterson. Taking in a good movie, working on word searches or crossword puzzles, and listening to Andrea Bocelli were some of her favorite pastimes. One of the greatest highlights of her life was visiting Italy on her birthday.
Mary Anne is survived by her daughter, Christina Hendricks of Los Angeles, CA, and her brother Gregory Sweenie of Groton. Besides her parents, Mary Anne was predeceased by her brother, William F. Sweenie.
Mary Anne’s family will honor and remember Mary Anne’s life privately.
