Ronald K. Brandolini (Brandy), 84, of Framingham, Ma passed away on March 30th at St. Patrick’s Manor after a period of declining health surrounded by family.
Ron was born January 26, 1941 in Framingham, Ma to Lenore (Greer) Brandolini and Amadeo Brandolini. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Brandolini of Framingham, his daughter Sherri Decina and her husband Richard Decina of Hopkinton, son Ronald Brandolini and his partner Susan DaCosta of Framingham, son Chris Brandolini and his partner Maryam Kavianpour of Clarksburg, MD. He was the grandfather of six, Michael and Matthew Decina, Alyssa and Blake Brandolini and Maia and Alayna Brandolini. He is also survived by his sister, Marlene Watt and predeceased by his sister Ferne Morrison.
Ron was a lifelong resident of Framingham attending Framingham High School graduating in 1958. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army serving as a Military Police Officer. After serving his country he joined the Framingham Police Department where he served the community as a patrol officer.
Ron briefly moved his family to California in 1966 and attended and graduated from the Los Angeles police academy then worked for a brief time as a patrolman with the LAPD before returning to his hometown.
Ron returned to the Framingham Police Department for several more years before transferring to the Framingham Fire Department where he retired in 1996 with 32 years combined service to the Town of Framingham. Ron continued to work after retirement from the fire department having worked on several painting crews with new and old friends. He also worked at Adesa for several years in a part time capacity.
Ron enjoyed playing hockey through his childhood and early adulthood and co-captained the 1958 Framingham High hockey team. Ron later was an assistant coach with his son’s Framingham Youth hockey teams for several years.
Ron was known to have a great sense of humor having been named most fun to be around in his high school class. He also enjoyed practical jokes with his painting buddies.
Ron and his wife purchased a vacation home in 1976 in Dennis Ma where he enjoyed spending time with his family/friends and working in and around his cape home.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ron’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Friday, April 4th from 9-11:15AM. His funeral service will begin at 11:30. Interment will be private at a later date.
