Lynn F. (Turner) Burdett, 91, a longtime resident of Framingham died Saturday, March 22, 2025 after a period of declining health. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. & Elizabeth F. (Griffith) Turner, and the beloved wife of the late Sumner E. Burdett.
Lynn was raised in East Greenbush, NY, a suburb of Albany, where she was a graduate of Columbia High School in 1951, and business school in Albany in 1953. and then headed to Boston for work where she met her husband, Sumner. They married in 1957 and settled in Framingham in 1959 where they would raise their family. Lynn was a housewife and ran a small daycare out of her home, before rejoining the workforce at The Interface Group as a receptionist and worked her way up to Administrative and Sales Assistant. In her retirement she worked part time as a receptionist at Framingham Union Hospital.
Lynn was a member of the Plymouth Church in Framingham in the 1960’s, later joining Grace Church where she was a member of several committees, and most recently attended Edwards Church in Saxonville. She loved to travel and enjoyed vacationing on the Cape or the coast of Maine. Above all else her family was her greatest love and priority.
Lynn is survived by her sons, David E. Burdett of Douglas, MA, and Christopher D. Burdett & his wife Mira Bieler-Burdett and her grandson Sawyer Burdett of Wellsley, MA, and her brother, Michael Turner of Rensselaer, NY. Besides her husband Sumner, Lynn was predeceased by her daughter Catherine E. Burdett.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Lynn’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday morning, March 28th in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham from 9-10:15AM. Her Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Private Family interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading, MA.
