Virginia (Ginny) A. (Boudreau) McGreal, age 93, passed away at MetroWest Medical Center/ Framingham Union Hospital on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Born in Millbury, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Seavey) and John Boudreau and stepdaughter of the late Ida Boudreau. She was the wife of Francis J. McGreal, beloved husband of 66 years, who died on May 22, 2019.
She graduated from Framingham High School in 1949 and Lasell Jr. College, Newton, MA, in 1951. Ginny worked for GMAC and Gregg & Sons before retiring to raise her children.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ginny was kind and enjoyed helping others. Ginny worked as a Home Health Aide and volunteered at the YMCA of Framingham as an instructor for the Arthritis Water Aerobic program for many years. She also had a green thumb and loved gardening.
Ginny leaves her four children, Karen (McGreal) Regan and her husband, Joseph of Westwood, MA; Patrick McGreal and his wife, Karen Lebel-McGreal of West Boylston, MA; Robert McGreal and his wife, Debbie of Crestwood, KY; Gerald McGreal and his wife, Barbara of Summerville, SC. Her grandchildren, Jillian (Regan) Reece and her husband, Thomas; Taylor Regan and his wife, Carolyn; Steven McGreal and his wife, Kerri; Craig McGreal and his wife, Angela; Monica McGreal and her fiancée, Eric Olson; Kyle and Cory McGreal. Her step-grandchildren Lauren and Vanessa Lebel, as well as nine great-grandchildren. Her sister-in-law, Helene Britton of Florida, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Malcolm Britton, John Boudreau, and his wife Claire and her nieces Linda Boudreau and Julia Britton, in-laws Paul and Anna Gibbons, John and Blanche McGreal.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham, MA. There will be a private graveside service at St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham. There are no visiting hours.
The family would like to thank her cardiologist of 26 years, Dr. David Young, and the MetroWest Medical Center/Framingham Union Hospital staff for Ginny’s kind and compassionate care throughout her life, especially during her most recent illness.
