Jane F. Madden “Auntine”, 79, of Worcester and formerly of Framingham, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025 at UMASS Medical Hospital after a brief illness. Jane was born in Newton to the late Vincent and Anna (Mulligan) Madden.
Jane always made us smile especially when she would put her red lipstick on and kissed us all goodbye. Her greatest love was visiting and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew. We couldn’t visit Jane without bringing her favorite foods. She loved her Dunkin Donuts Iced coffee, Italian subs and sour cream and onion pringles. She enjoyed telling stories of cherished memories of the past. Jane’s face would light up when she saw pictures/videos of her great-great nephews and niece. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed!
She was the sister of the late Mary (Madden) Roycroft and her husband Carl of Buzzards Bay, and the late Paula Madden. Also survived by nephew Carl Roycroft Jr., Patricia Melchionda and her husband Mark of Sagamore Beach, Lynda Bernasconi and her husband Jim of Braintree and Christine Roycroft of Rockland and many great nieces and nephew and great- great niece and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jane’s life by gathering for her funeral service in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday morning, January 31st at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
