Patricia Ann Deveau-Alexander, known by her family as Patty known by everyone else as Trish entered life on August 17th, 1957, born in Boston, MA, Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Framingham, MA on January 19th, 2025, at the age of 67.
Patricia grew up entirely in Framingham in the Warren-Oaks neighborhood attended Warren-Oaks (now Miriam Mc Carthy) Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High School and graduated from Framingham South High School in 1975. Mr. Al Badger, a career counselor at South High School, steered young Patty to work for Dr. Slade Veterinary Hospital as a Vet Tech, which launched her into a lifelong career as a successful and sought-after pet groomer as well as an acclaimed dog whisperer by many.
Patricia had a deep love for animals and nature, one of her favorite activities was camping and fishing. She had a strong attachment to the Carroll/Twin Mountains area in Northern New Hampshire. In recent years she, her husband and stepson explored and enjoyed camping areas in the Adirondack Region in Upstate New York.
In addition, in recent years Patricia became a frequent participant in the local Framingham community events accompanying her husband. She helped build a new playground at Mc Carthy elementary school, vigorously supported and campaigned alongside her husband Noval and others to build the new Fuller Middle School which opened in September 2021. As well as attending the Framingham High School Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and enjoying many Concerts on the Green in Framingham Center during the summer.
Patricia leaves behind her husband, Framingham City Councilor Noval A. Alexander, stepchildren Chelsea Alexander of London, England, UK and Jourden Alexander of Framingham, MA; her sister Mary Barrett and husband Tony Barrett of The Villages, Florida; her brother William Deveau and wife Nancy of Northborough, MA and her youngest sister Cathy Caruso and her husband Peter Caruso of Scituate, MA. Patricia is also survived by five nieces and two nephews, in addition to many grandnieces and grandnephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Deveau of Framingham.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Patricia’s life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, January 29th in St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will take place at a later date.
