Richard P. “Dick” Planchet, 86, a longtime resident of Framingham died Thursday January 2, 2025, at the Branches of Marlborough. Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Paul & Madelyne (Quigley) Planchet, and the beloved husband of the late Jean P. (Goddard) Planchet.

Dick worked for over 35 years at Lockheed Martin in Marion, MA where he built lifelong friendships with many of his colleagues, who kept in touch with him until his passing. He held deep respect and admiration for his friends at work and cherished their visits.

Dick enjoyed woodworking, fishing, cooking, and gardening. However, his favorite activities involved spending time with his beloved yellow labrador retriever, the late Marcus, and vacationing with his family at Disney parks and cruises.

Dick is survived by his son, David P.  & his wife Julie of Harvard, his grandchildren, Jackie, a graduate student at MCPHS, Richie, a student at Framingham State University, and Isabelle, a student at Bryant University. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Adams & her husband Tom, and his nieces, Christine, Kathy, and Julie.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Dick’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Friday, January 17th from 4-7PM with a prayer service to take place at 7PM. Interment will take place at a later date.
