Dorothy M. (Belonis) Fitch, 88, of So. Yarmouth and formerly of Framingham died Saturday morning, January 4, 2025 after a period of declining health.  Born in Framingham, she was the beloved daughter of the late William Belonis and Rose (McGlone) Nunez, and the beloved wife of the late Donald Fitch.

Dorothy was raised and educated in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham High School. She worked as a legal secretary for John Acton, Esq. for 25 years, during which time she turned her love of antiques into a business, Franklin Street Antiques and Evergreen Estate Sales, which she ran for 50 years. Dorothy was a founding member of the St. Stephen’s Chi Rho Club. She was the Framingham Emblem Club #126 Vice President for two years and then President for two years, and she also served as Framingham Downtown Solutions President for two years.

Dorothy enjoyed cooking for her family and passing down her family recipes. An avid and dedicated Boston sports fan, she began attending Boston Braves baseball games with her grandmother and later held seasons tickets for the Red Sox for 35 years. She was also a season ticket holder for the Boston Bruins in the 60s and 70s. Dorothy and Donald enjoyed traveling, particularly to Aruba, and they went on several cruises. She had the trip of a lifetime a few years ago to visit family members living in Poland.

Dorothy is survived by her children, daughter Theresa Pence of Virginia; Michael Sheehan of Warsaw, Poland; her sister, Patricia Seymour of Marlborough; her grandchildren James Pence, Victoria White, Michael Pence, Joseph Pence, Benjamin Sheehan, Molly Sheehan, and Joshua Krauss; her great grandchildren Joshua Pence, Jacen Pence, Callie White, Jonathan Pence, Kaiden Pence, and Julian Pence; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Donald, Dorothy was predeceased by her son Kevin Sheehan, her sister Sandra Kittredge, and son-in-law Daniel Pence.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Dorothy’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, Framingham on Thursday, January 9 from 4-7PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, January 10 in St. Stephen Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
