FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is advertising for a volunteer to serve on the Team Framingham Steering Committee.
The Team Framingham Steering Committee plans and administers all aspects of the Team Framingham Boston Marathon program on behalf of the City of Framingham.
- Oversees the charity/runner lottery process
- Collaborates with City’s media team on press releases and other publicity
- Collaborates with community partners for runner support such as mentoring, free/discounted memberships and services, Race Day cheering sections, street banners, etc.
- Fundraises to support the expenses of the program itself
- Manages relationship with Greater Framingham Running Club.
- Plans and manages monthly meetings for runners and charities
- Plans and supports biweekly training runs
- Supports runner fundraising efforts
There is an opening for a full member seat available through June 30, 2027.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
Women and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Applicants who apply by the deadline will get preference.
The individual nominated by the Mayor will need to go through an approval process before the 11-member City Council, including the Council’s appointment subcommittee.
