Louis J. Tersoni, age 91, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died peacefully, Saturday October 26, 2024 with family by his side. He was an amazing Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle, whose laughter, kindheartedness and compassion resonated unto everyone whose lives he touched.

Born and raised in Framingham, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Teresa (Barani) Tersoni. He was the youngest of five children, having four older sisters.

He was a graduate of Framingham High School, class of 1950. In March of 1951, Louis was drafted to the United States Air Force stationed at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada. He Served during the Korean War assigned to the 359 1st (ATRC) as a Senior firearms System Mechanic working on P-51, F-80 and F86 fighter aircraft. In 1955 after his honorable discharge, Louis joined the Framingham Police Department where he spent the next 42 years. During his accomplished career he was awarded many honors and commendations as well as credited for saving 2 lives.

He was a second-generation member of the Framingham Heart Study. He served on the Board of Directors of both the Framingham Municipal Federal Credit Union and the Framingham Youth Hockey Program and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Louis was predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy (D’Alesio) Tersoni and daughter Christina Ann Wye.

He is survived by his children, Joseph L. Tersoni and his wife Dianne; Blaise Tersoni and his wife Racquel; Douglas L. Tersoni and his wife Stacie; all of Framingham; his cherished 9 grandchildren Joshua Wye and his wife Melissa, Ashley and her husband Frank Racicot-Alves, John, Catherine, Bettina, Isabella, Michael, Sabrina, Sophia and two great-grandchildren Aubrey and Taea.

Louis is also survived by his devoted sister Adele D’Alesio, wife of the late Umberto of Milford and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Mary Tersoni, Josephine Leonardo and her late husband Anthony and Elena D’Alesio and her late husband Alfred.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral Mass on Thursday October 31, 2024 at 11:00AM at Saint Stephens Parish 221 Concord Street (Rt. 126), Framingham, MA 01702 with burial to follow at the Saint Tarcisius Cemtery, Winthrop Street, Framingham.
