Elizabeth V. “Betty” (Wronski) Surette, 87, a longtime resident of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.  Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Myron & Stella Wronski, and the beloved wife of the late William A. Surette.

Betty grew up in Sterling, and while life took her in several different directions, the titles she loved most were wife, mother, grandmother and eventually, great grandmother. The very definition of a homemaker, Betty loved to bake and cook for her family and host gatherings. The holidays were always full of baked goods, laughter, and crafts. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting as well.

Betty woke up every morning with a cup of coffee and enjoyed scouring a good yard sale and flea market for antiques. She was an avid bingo player and was always planning her next visit to the casino to try her luck at the slots. She kept a beautiful garden and found great joy in the beauty around her, always saying that the flowers “hurt her eyes” when the Spring blooms came in after the long winter months. She and Bill were able to enjoy a retirement together visiting the cape often and RVing around New England.

More than anything Betty’s family was her priority along with her Catholic faith. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Kelley & her husband Ken, and Denise Dillon, her grandchildren, Amy Morgan, Connor Kelley & his wife Caitlyn, Elizabeth Huckins & her husband Mark, Michelle King, and Taylor Dillon,  several great grandchildren, Iyla, Jeremy, and Ryder, her sister, Patricia Beddie & her husband Phillip, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Bill, Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah, her siblings, Myron Wronski, Jr, and Marion Blais.

Family and friends will honor and remember Elizabeth’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Thursday, October 24th from 4-7PM.  Her Funeral Services will be celebrated in the Funeral Home on Friday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
