FRAMINGHAM – City of Framingham will host its first-ever Find Your People Fair on Saturday, September 28, as part of a Massachusetts-wide Good Neighbor Day of Action.

Through collaboration with clubs and organizations that serve Framingham, the City of Framingham aims to take proactive steps to foster a sense of belonging and connection.

This initiative aims to alleviate the negative impacts of loneliness and social isolation, while assisting adult residents in finding people with like minding interests in the arts, service, issues, and more.

The FREE Find Your People Fair will be held at the Memorial Building in Nevins Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

More than 30 organizations have signed up to participate in the drop-in style event, including The Brazilian-American Center (BRACE), Danforth Art, Keep Framingham Beautiful, Framingham Garden Club, The Gateway Camera Club, OUT MetroWest, Fairs ‘n Squares Square Dance Club, etc.

The Find Your People Fair is one event across the Commonwealth in support of National Good Neighbor Day on September 29.

The City of Framingham is at the forefront of the Massachusetts Coalition To Build Community and End Loneliness with its “Find Your People” fair on Saturday, September 28.

Established in 2019, the Coalition comprises over 90 organizations dedicated to sharing resources, enhancing community connections, and fostering a culture of kindness and connection.

In 2023, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy identified loneliness, social isolation, and the absence of human connection as a pressing health crisis in our nation that arose from the global pandemic. The Surgeon General released an advisory report urging a concerted effort to restore social connections and foster meaningful relationships in a post-pandemic world.

Everyone is invited to attend the FREE Find Your People Fair on Saturday, September 28 at 150 Concord Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
