Linda A. Johnson of Framingham, died on July 27th, 2024 at the age of 81. She was born April 30th, 1943, in Everett, and was the daughter of the late Albert O. & Mildred (Burckes) Johnson and sister of the late Carl Johnson. Linda was predeceased by her longtime partner, James M. Lozouski of Marlborough.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Ashland High School and a 1965 graduate of Worcester State College. She taught 7th and 8th grade math in Bellingham and Ashland Schools. She later worked for Liberty Mutual and Acadia Insurance. Linda had many part-time jobs including pet-sitting, driving an ice cream truck, and waitressing at the Ground Round on Speen St, Natick. She also proudly participated in the Big Sister program.
In recent years Linda enjoyed being a member of the Golden Tones Chorus, Southborough Senior Songsters, the Natick senior chair volleyball team, the intergenerational Sages and Seekers, and the Zoom writing group. She loved music, singing, playing guitar, going to shows, kayaking, camping, and writing short stories.
Linda is survived by her longtime friend Linda Muto of Framingham, her cousins, Cathy Mesaric Rocha of Guilford, ME, and Mary (Flynn) Morin of Denton, Texas, and many other cousins. Linda was a loving grandmother of her partner Jim’s grandchildren Megan and Kevin Lozouski and their parents James R. and Erica Lozouski of Marlborough, and Alexander Lozouski and his parents Mark and Andie Lozouski of Germantown, MD.
Linda was thankful for her 21 bonus years of life after a lifesaving surgery. She wanted to thank all the doctors, nurses, respiratory staff, and all her friends and family that supported her.
Family and friends will honor and remember Linda’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Sunday, August 18th from 2-3PM, with a Celebration of life service to immediately follow. Interment will be private.
