Albert Richard Gosselin passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, just days before his 90th birthday. Albert was preceded in death by his son, Brian Gosselin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Gosselin, his children Marie Cimino and her wife Sally Rando, Susan Cimino, Jodi Gosselin-Smith and her husband Brian Smith, and his grandchildren Samantha Hanson, Scott Hanson, Preston Dodge, and Mackenzie Gosselin.

Albert was a one-of-a-kind man known for his great sense of humor, which remained with him until the end. He wasn’t the most outwardly affectionate man and could be a little grumpy, lovingly referred to as “Grumpy” by his grandchildren during their childhood. He had a unique and witty charm that was endearing to those who knew him.

Albert was an avid reader, enjoying books of all genres. He believed that challenging the mind would keep it sharp, so he always made time to complete the newspaper’s daily crossword puzzle with a cup of coffee in hand. In his younger days, Albert enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden of flowers and vegetables. His passions also included collecting stamps from all around the world, playing cribbage with friends, and listening to classical music.

Albert was well known for his unwavering kindness and mentorship. He was a kind man with a strong love for animals, especially his cat Snickers. You could often find Albert and Snickers taking their afternoon nap together in his office recliner. His presence and character left a lasting impact on his family and friends. He will be remembered fondly for his unique personality and the many moments of joy and laughter he brought into their lives.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.), Framingham on August 5, 2024 from 4-6PM, followed by a brief prayer service at 6PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Guardian Angels Cat Rescue of Wayland, MA, in honor of Albert, continuing his legacy of compassion for animals.

The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center and Brookhaven Hospice for their unconditional love and support for Albert and his family.
