Judy S. (Sebastian) Norton, age 65, passed away, June 26, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was the loving wife to the late Michael R. Norton for 27 years, who died on July 9, 2013.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Farrand) Sebastian. She attended Algonquin High School, and graduated from Bentley College.

Judy worked at her family business, Framingham Welding and Engineering Corp as Treasurer/Controller. She later become owner of Norton Funeral Home upon her husband’s passing.

Judy was an active PTO member at Dunning Elementary School and a Girl Scout leader.

As a child, she loved her animals and was a member of 4H in Southborough. Judy rode and competed horses in show hunters. She loved spending time at her family-owned farm where they bred Standardbred racehorses and would go to the track and ride old racehorses.

Judy loved her horses especially gray ones and adored watching horses she owned compete in hunter jumper horse shows and watching her daughter Kelley compete.  She also loved watching her son’s sports teams.

She was an avid fisherman and loved going to her family’s cabin in Liberty, Maine. She played tennis and loved flowers and gardening.  Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving and she savored waking up to the smell of the turkey in the morning. Judy also enjoyed spending time with friends at Saratoga Race Course in NY.

Judy treasured her retired life living on the farm, enjoying it with her grandchildren and all the animals especially her favorite chicken Grace.

She we will be remembered for her big smile and contagious laugh.

She is survived by her two children, Kelley Sebastian Norton of Upton and Robert A. Norton and his wife Angela of Framingham; stepson Paul R. Norton of Framingham; grandchildren Everly and Leo; brothers, John Sebastian and his wife Joan of Upton, and Don Sebastian and his wife Anita of Sherborn; nephews, Adam, AJ and Tyler Sebastian. She also leaves behind Kingsley her most loyal companion; horses, Kali, Fabiano, and Oz; donkeys, Wicket and Rascal; eight chickens, and many close friends, many of whom have become her extended family.

Judy was the sister of the late Mark Sebastian of Framingham who died in 2021.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 10AM at St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road, (Rt. 9) Framingham. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham will be Monday from 4 – 7 PM.
