Angela “Mary” Quirk-Moruzzi of Framingham passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2024 in Framingham, MA.

Mary was born on September 20,1935 in Boston.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Russo) Trifero of Wellesley, MA and grew up in Newton, MA.  She spent many summers on Cape Cod, where she met Paul A. Quirk and eventually settled down in Framingham raising their three children.  She also lived in Southborough, and Marlborough.

Mary loved being a Mom to her children and a Nanna “Nan” to her 8 grandchildren.  As her children were growing up, friends were always welcome – not just to her home – but to her kitchen table for a delicious homemade Italian meal.  Her quick wit kept everyone laughing and always feeling welcome.  She also loved her time on the Cape and hosting family and friends.

Many afternoons and evenings she spent watching her grandchildren participate in their favorite activities; she loved cheering them on.

Mary enjoyed her work at Framingham Union Hospital and then The Fay School.  She was particularly well known by the seniors in Southborough during her many years working at the Southborough Senior Center.

In recent years, Mary was a resident of The Branches of Framingham.  The kindness of the staff and the sharing of their memories over these last few weeks and months has been a welcome and much appreciated solace by her family.

She is survived by her children: Paul and his fiancée Jennifer Quinlan of Naples, FL, Thomas and his wife Kathleen of Mashpee, MA, and Kathryn Cote and her husband Charles of Londonderry, NH.  She was “Nan” to her cherished grandchildren, Morgan Dillion, Alex Quirk, Natasha Quirk, Joseph and his wife Asher Quirk, Sara and her husband Evan Cirioni, Sean Quirk, Nicholas Cote, and Tyler Cote and became a doting great grandmother to Sloane Cirioni just a few months ago.

She is also survived by her sister, Lorraine (Trifero) and her husband Clifford Gaysunas, nieces Kristen and Sharon and nephew Clifford.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham followed by her funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Anne’s Parish, 20 Boston Road, Southborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to St Jude www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html
