Richard “Richie” D’Angeli, 77, of Framingham, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by his children and loving wife of 56 years after a short, but hard-fought battle with an aggressive form of cancer.

Richard was born in Boston, MA on June 30, 1946, and was the oldest son of Roy P. D’Angeli and Marie (Lazzaro) D’Angeli. Richie has fond memories at his grandparents’ home in Somerville, MA with his family and cousins. He attended Saint Stephen’s junior high school in Framingham and was part of the first graduating class of Framingham North High School in 1964. As kismet would have it Richard met his soon to be beautiful wife Brenda Ellis just before graduation, and this is where their love story began.

Richie was drafted to the United States Air Force in January 1966 and was discharged as a Seargent in January 1969. Bren and Rich eloped in September 1967 where they first called Newburyport, MA home while Rich was stationed at Pease Air Force base in New Hampshire. After his honorable discharge, they returned to Framingham where he worked for a brief time as a draftsman at Sylvania. His career path led him to sales where he worked at AAMCO, Hoover, Rush Hampton, Shuman & Gold, and Car-Freshener. He began his own company Richards Sales Associates and branched off solo as RSA. He was a consultant and businessman, always helping others. Throughout his career he gained numerous colleagues and friends — becoming a mentor to many.
Richie was a smart entrepreneur, a true wealth of both knowledge and advice, one of the funniest people around, and above all else a family man through and through.

Richie is survived by his beloved wife Brenda (Ellis) D’Angeli; his children Racquel (D’Angeli) Tersoni and her husband Blaise, Domenic D’Angeli, and Deven (D’Angeli) Heroux and her husband James; his adoring grandchildren Isabella, Sabrina and Sophia Tersoni, Seth Henry and Ellis “EJ” Heroux; and his adorable puppy Pippa all of Framingham, MA.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 7th from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Nortons Funeral Home at 53 Beech Street (Corner of Union Avenue), Framingham, MA 01702. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 11:00AM at Saint Bridget’s Parish at 830 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01702 with burial to follow at the Edgell Grove Cemetery.
