Andrew J. Lockerby, 74, formerly of Millis and Framingham, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024 in Lake Placid, FL with his children by his side.

Andy was born on Oct 11 1949, to James and Anita Lockerby. He served his country proudly commandeering the river boats in the Vietnam War, made a life on Cape Cod and in California, before settling in Millis, Massachusetts, with his beloved wife, Joanne. He enjoyed the remaining years of his life traveling, and soaking up the sun in Florida. He is survived by his children, Nathan Leinfelder and his wife Kindra with his grandson Lincoln, his daughter, Christina Sweetin and her husband Kyle, his son, David Lockerby, and his sister, Marian Flaherty, as well as countless cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Joan A. Lockerby, his sister, Donna Lockerby Ouellette, and his brother, Robert Lockerby.

Andy spent his life living every moment to the fullest. He was a master carpenter, able to build anything he could dream up, always having a new project in hand. He had a passion for exploring every inch of the world, especially this vast country in his RV, making many friends and connections along the way. He stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, jumped off of waterfalls in the Grand Canyon, hiked Mount Everest, travelled the world, and truly never let an opportunity pass him by. He was an amazing man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will honor and remember Andy’s life by celebrating his Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, May 25th in St. George Church, 74 School St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.
