Rosita (Cuca) Rodriguez, of Framingham Massachusetts, beloved grandmother, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a long and tough battle with cancer on April 19th, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on June 12th, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, she is now reunited with her late father, Miguel Mercado; mother, Hilda Figueroa; husband, Carmelo Rodriguez; and brothers, Orlando Baerga, Carlos Baerga, Freddy Baerga and Jose Mercado.

Cuca, as everyone knew her, was a sweet and beautiful woman of God. Passionate about her faith, she was always imparting His word to others. She was generous and caring, and could be described as someone willing to “give the shirt off her back” to people in need. She was family oriented, always welcoming family in, and never failed to call and visit to check in on her loved ones. She was an inspiration to her grandchildren and most recently her great grandchildren, never passing an opportunity to be with them.

Known for being a culinary entrepreneur, she would provide the neighborhood with delicious food, refreshing limbers and seasonal treats. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her two daughters; Julia Rodriguez and her husband Tony Tavarez, and Cynthia Mercado; Two sisters, Sandra Baerga and Lily Mercado; Three brothers, Michael Mercado, Levi Mercado, and Fernando Santiago; Five grandchildren, Caroline Guzman, James Guzman, Ashley Guzman, Julissa Dwyer, and Aleah Tavarez; and 8 great grandchildren.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16
