[Framingham, MA] – ConvenientMD, New England’s leading urgent care provider, recently donated $750 to the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. This comes as a result of ConvenientMD’s pledge made earlier this fall to make donations corresponding with the number of flu shots given at each clinic. 40 ConvenientMD urgent care clinics and four ConvenientMD primary care locations across New England have made donations to a local charity in their community.

The mission of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism is to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest. The organization’s programs and activities improve the quality of everyday life for people and families affected by autism along seven key dimensions that are critical to living each day fully. The foundation aims to provide a path for education and/or employment during the day; opportunities for physical and social activity outside of work/school; and the tools to be safe, supported, and informed at all times. The foundation was founded in 1998 by NFL quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife Laurie, after their son Doug, Jr. was diagnosed with autism.
