Nancy A. Grifone, of Framingham, MA, died on December 8, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late James T. Fay, Sr. and Mildred B. Fay. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Grifone, and her brother, James T. Fay, Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law Zabel P. Fay, her sister-in-law Anne H. Grifone Hiland, her niece and nephews: Sheryl L. Seymour, Brian J. Fay, Jerome L. Fay, and Sean N. Fay, and by her step-son Joseph D. Grifone, and his children Joseph D. Grifone, Jr. and Nicole Grifone.
Nancy was born on April 11, 1940, and grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Somerville High School and Bentley University. She spent much of her professional life working in municipal government. In her retirement years, she traveled extensively throughout the world and worked tirelessly for local charities including the Friends of the Framingham Library and the American Cancer Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10AM, at St. Brigid’s Parish, 830 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, Massachusetts. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4-7 PM at McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham.
