The Framingham Interfaith Community Association invites the entire community to an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, held on Sunday, November 19th at 5 pm at First Parish in Framingham, 24 Vernon Street.
The service continues a series of community conversations inspired by Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s recent book and advisory addressing the epidemic of loneliness in our nation. In our service, we will celebrate some of the many groups in our city who are finding creative ways to address loneliness and create community.
Rev. Aaron Stockwell from First Parish will be preaching. We will hear readings from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim sacred texts. Music will be led by Cantor David Wolff from Temple Beth Am. A blessing for peace will be offered by Bhante Pannasiri from the New England Buddhist Vihara.
Following the service there will be a potluck reception. Please bring a dessert or other finger-food to share.
